Giving back to the community is important to us…

We feel strongly about supporting charitable organisations that do a great job providing support where it’s needed in the community. Momentum Search and Selection makes a monthly donation of $100 to each team member’s chosen charity, which include The Butterfly Foundation, Rural Aid, the Brain Foundation and Wear for Success. We also promote the work our charities and their fundraising efforts via our social media channels.

Butterfly Foundation

The Butterfly Foundation represents all people affected by eating disorders and negative body image; a person with the illness, their family and their friends.

Business founder Alan has a strong personal connection to the Butterfly Foundation, having had his sister pass away in 2013 after a history of eating disorders.

Momentum Search and Selection have raised over $10,000 for the Butterfly Foundation, helping the charity to run prevention programs and provide direct relief services for those who are already suffering from an eating disorder.

The Brain Foundation

The Brain Foundation is a nationally registered charity dedicated to funding world-class research Australia-wide into neurological disorders, brain disease and brain injuries.

Established in 1970 by neurologists and neurosurgeons, the Brain Foundation funds merit-based, ground breaking research projects that aim to advance diagnoses, treatment and patient outcomes.

Rural Aid

Rural Aid provides a number of support programs for rural Australia including Farm Army, Farm Rescue and the Buy a Bale campaign, which has distributed over $6 million worth of fodder to farmers around Australia.

These programs provide a range of support services from provision of animal feed, cash handouts, holidays and mental health assistance, education assistance and technology.

Wear For Success

Wear for Success is a not-for-profit organisation run by a small management team and a dedicated group of volunteers.  They provide professional clothing to a broad cross-section of people who require caring support to regain the confidence they need to find employment.

In addition to work appropriate clothing, Wear for Success delivers career support training, including resume writing, interview preparation and goal setting. Since 2011, they have provided over 5,500 people with the support they need on their journey back to work.

Beyond Blue

Three million people in Australian are currently experiencing anxiety or depression and every day almost eight people commit suicide.

Beyond Blue equip people with the knowledge and skills to protect their own mental health. They give people the confidence to support those around them and make anxiety, depression and suicide part of everyday conversations. As well as tackling stigma, prejudice and discrimination, Beyond Blue break down barriers that prevent people from speaking up and reaching out.

Other Community Support

In addition to our charities above, we also sponsor the Old Mentonians Soccer Club.

As a non-profit community club, OMSC relies heavily on the efforts and time dedicated by volunteers who contribute greatly and donate their time freely to ensure our sons and daughters enjoy the sport for many years to come.

The club has an inclusive, fun and social atmosphere combined with a winning spirit and determination.
